Woman shares cleaning hack to remove white marks from hob and leave it shining again

Keeping your oven hob clean can feel like a thankless task.

As food splashes onto the surface from cooking and the heat bakes the stains on, it can get harder and harder to leave the surface shining again.

No amount of cleaning products and elbow grease ever seems enough to shift the tough stains that leave the hob looking unsightly.

But one woman may have found the answer after sharing her incredible before and after photos to the Cleaning Tips & Tricks Facebook group, where almost 200,000 members share their home hacks.

After scrubbing her electric cooker, she still wasn't happy with the white marks left on the rings which many of us will recognise from our own hobs.

Rather than throwing in the towel, she grabbed a bottle of baby oil and rubbed a few drops on the tricky areas, as reported by The Sun.

The scuffs and stains instantly disappeared, and her cooker was left looking as good as new once again.

Other members of the cleaning group thanked her for the tip and vowed to give it a go themselves.

One replied: "Never thought to do that."

A second commented: “Looks awesome!”

Another added their own similar solution, saying:  "I use orange oil, same effect.

"Any oil that you have on hand works great. It also polishes stainless steel beautifully!"

A Mrs Hinch fan recently shared her own popular cleaning hack to remove hidden hair and dust from carpets - and it only costs £1.

Showing what the vacuum cleaner leaves behind, she scraped a window squeegee across her carpet, gathering up a sizeable ball of hair from just a small area.

She said: "I do this once a week and the build up is shocking. I have a dog so for me it gets all the dust and hair the Hoover can’t."
