Tara Slinger, who is behind the account Our Layered Home as well as owner of family clothing brand Whoopsie Daisie, has made a budget version of a golden palm-leaf lamp.
Her inspiration was the type of lamp seen priced at as much as £365 - but Tara's version costs a mere £40.
She took a plain silver £30 floor lamp from Argos - though the same method will work with a table lamp - and began by spray-painting it gold.
She then took some artificial palm leaves (the sort you can buy from Dunelm or Amazon) and sprayed those gold too, before attaching them around the top of the lamp.
She says the project took less than an hour in total - and the bargain lamp is almost unrecognisable.
