As energy prices are rising, millions are looking at ways to cut costs.
While some are simply refusing to put the heating on - nothing a big jumper won't solve - drying the load of washing can be a challenge.
Scotland isn't known for its sunny weather, so the opportunity to dry clothes on the washing line is rare. But if you leave damp washing inside it can end up smelling and possibly cause damp if there isn't strong ventilation.

For those who don't have a tumble dryer or are looking to reduce their use of the energy guzzling appliance, one woman has shared her simple tip for drying clothes - and it just costs her a measly 4p, without even putting the heating on.
Earlier this week, Manchester Evening News asked readers to share their tried and tested tips to reduce bills.
One woman explained how she is able to dry her clothes for as little as 4p without turning on her central heating.
Liz Reynolds wrote: "When I work from home I have a heated clothes rail in my office, it’s only 4p an hour to run and I can leave the rest of the heating off."
She added: "We don’t have a tumble dryer, the heated rails are brilliant."
Heated clothes airers are sold in various retailers including John Lewis, Argos and Dunelm.
Aldi sometimes has a heated implement as a Special Buy, but at the moment, they are not in stock.
Dunelm looks like one of the cheapest at £40 while John Lewis offers a three tier heated clothes airer at £100.
Argos sells a mid-prize one for £55.
