A woman has shared an incredible tip for getting hidden dust and dirt out of any carpet with a £1 cleaning product.
The tip involves using a window squeegee, and just a little bit of elbow grease.
Posting to Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips on Facebook, Amy Morris said: "Amazing hack I just have to share with you all!
"I do this once a week and the build up is shocking.
"I have a dog so for me it gets all the dust and hair the Hoover can’t!.
"Just the usual shower/window screen squeegee- can get from Wilko, Poundland!"
Amy demonstrated how she uses the squeegee to get all the dirt to the surface - which you can watch in the video at the top of the article.
The results were shocking and left a huge ball of hair and dust on top of the carpet.
Others have tried the quick carpet hack, with another Facebook user, Gail, posting to the group: "So, I'm currently 35 weeks + 6 days pregnant and nesting has kicked in big time!
"I Hoover our bedroom carpet everyday, sometimes twice a day and today I was doing my windows at 7am (the birds woke me up) decided I'd give this a go as my carpet always has wee black sock bits on it even after hoovering!!
"Just wow! That wee balls of fluff and hairs was just from the bit at the door!
"It's like a brand new carpet again!! My hands are now sore though and my arms and back won't thank me later but am so pleased!!"
The cleaning hack can be done with a window squeegee, which can be purchased from Wilko or Poundland for £1.
