Woman sexually assaulted outside toilets in city centre bar as police want to speak to man

A woman was sexually assaulted by a man outside the toilet of a bar in Liverpool city centre.

The assault took place around 12.40am outside the unisex toilets in McCooleys on Temple Court, off Mathew Street on Friday, July 24.

Detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to as he could have information on the incident.

Pictures show the man wearing a dark Adidas t-shirt, dark pants and trainers.

Detective Constable Nicholas Glascott-Tull said: “We think this man may have vital information in connection with this incident.

“If you recognise him, let us know directly or anonymously via Crimestoppers.

“We’re supporting the victim in this distressing time as our extensive enquiries continue.”
