Woman sexually assaulted on Glasgow Central train

Cops are appealing for information after a woman was sexually assaulted on a train last Thurday.

The woman, in her 20s, was inappropriately touched by a man on a service from Glasgow Central to Carluke at 8.51pm on July 11.

British Transport Police (BTP) are now urging people who may have witnessed the incident to come forward with information.

The man, who also made sexual comments to the woman, is described as white, bald, tall, of a heavy build, and wearing a purple or pink hooded top, jeans, green trainers and carrying a white drawstring bag.

He also had tattoos on his hand.

A BTP spokesperson said: "Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who knows the identity of the suspect, should contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference 100 of 12/07/19."
