CCTV appeal after woman sexually assaulted on escalators at major London train station

Police are looking to speak to the man in this photo - (British Transport Police)

An investigation has been launched after a woman was reportedly sexually assaulted on an escalator in a major London train station.

British Transport Police has released a photo of a man they wish to speak to following the alleged attack at St Pancras station.

Officers say the woman was assaulted on an escalator in the station at around 7.30am on Saturday, November 22 last year.

The man followed the woman out of the station to a nearby building, British Transport Police said.

He then attempted to follow the woman inside but was prevented from doing so.

Police are looking to identify the man in this CCTV image who they believe may have information that could help their investigation.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 152 of 22 November.

You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
