A woman was sexually assaulted in the early hours in Perth city centre.
New Row was cordoned off by Police Scotland officers after the alleged attack around 1am this morning (Thursday, August 1).
The investigation is at an early stage, but officers are following 'a positive line'.
A spokesman for the force said: "Police Scotland is carrying out enquiries following a report of a sexual assault on a woman at New Row in Perth about 1am today (Thursday 1 August).
"The investigation is at an early stage, however officers are following a positive line of enquiry. We would like to thank the public for their patience whilst enquiries are being carried out."
