A woman was reportedly sexually assaulted by a stranger who came over to help her after she fell off her bike.
The assault is said to have happened on Saturday, October 31 when the man driving a car supposedly came to the woman’s aid.
Police said they were called just after 11.45pm after reports a man in a silver car stopped to assist a woman in her 20s, who had fallen off her bike at the Junction of Green Lane and Cheadle Avenue in Old Swan.

After accepting the man's offer of assistance, the woman got into his car and was driven to Cheadle Avenue.
It’s alleged the man started to make inappropriate comments and then sexually assaulted her.
Police are asking for witnesses to come forward or any motorists in the area who may have dashcam footage to contact them.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “We are appealing for information after a report a woman was sexually assaulted in Old Swan on Saturday (31 October).
“We were called just after 11.45pm to a report a woman in her 20s had been approached by a man after she fell off a bicycle on Green Lane at its junction with Cheadle Avenue.
“She got in a silver vehicle with the man and was driven to Cheadle Avenue, where it is alleged he made inappropriate comments towards her and sexually assaulted her."
