Woman sexually assaulted at Glasgow Central Station in rush hour attack

A woman was sexually assaulted at Glasgow Central Station.

The assault happened on the Glasgow Low Level platform on Friday, June 14.

The woman, in her twenties, was approached by a man at around 5.50pm.

He made several inappropriate sexual remarks and touched her inappropriately, before boarding the 5.56pm Glasgow to Whifflet service.

The offender is a white man in his fifties and of medium build. He had a bushy beard  and was wearing a denim jacket, blue baseball cap and desert boots.

British Transport Police are keen to speak with anyone who has any information or may have seen what happened. Likewise, if you know anyone matching the description of the man, please get in touch.

Information can be passed to BTP by sending a text to 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 176 of 04/02/2018. Alternatively, pass information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
