A section of the A64 York Road in Leeds was closed today (Saturday) due to a serious two-vehicle crash.
The incident happened near Dog's Trust in Potterton in Harewood shortly before 2.50pm this afternoon, that section of the road was closed in both directions for several hours.
A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said a woman suffered serious injuries in the accident, but they are not believed to be life-threatening.
She said emergency services received a report of a four-vehicle collision that caused an obstruction on the road, but on arrival it was confirmed to be a two-car collision with two other cars having stopped at the scene.

Another spokesperson for the force said a BMW and a Vauxhall were involved in the collision, with a Skoda and a Hyundai stopping at the scene.
While a spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service has provided further details on the collision.
She said the emergency services were called at 2.47pm today, adding: “We sent six ambulances, a clinical supervisor, the hazardous area response team and the air ambulance to the scene.
“There were seven patients and they were all taken by land ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary.”
She said the patients had various injuries.
The section of road reopened at 5.19pm.
