Woman seriously injured after two car smash in Bramhall

A woman has been left with serious injuries after a two car smash in Bramhall.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision involving two vehicles on Bramhall Lane South at around 8.45pm on Tuesday.

A 62-year-old woman was treated at the scene and taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Images show two silver cars badly damaged in the middle of the road.

Bramhall Lane South was shut last night while an investigation took place, but has since re-opened.

A statement released by Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 8.45pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, police were called to reports of a collision on Bramhall Road South, Stockport.

"Initial enquiries have established that two cars were involved in a collision.



"A 62-year-old woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"Enquiries are still ongoing."
