Woman seriously injured after horror crash in Glasgow

A woman was seriously injured after being knocked down in a horror rush hour crash in Glasgow.

Police were called to the scene of the horror smash between the junctions of Laurieston Road and Florence Street on Ballater Road at 5.15pm on Tuesday February 18.

The 22-year-old victim, who was struck by a grey Toyota Yaris, was raced to the Queen Elizabeth University by ambulance crews.

Her condition is described as serious.

The road was closed until 9pm while police carried out their investigations.

Inspector William Graham, of Glasgow’s Road Policing Unit, said: "Our enquiries into the crash are ongoing and it's important we establish exactly what happened.

"I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the crash but has not yet spoken to police to come forward. I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dash cam footage which could help with our enquiries."

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 2700 of 18 February.
