A woman has been left with serious injuries after crashing her car into a tree near Falkirk.
The incident took place on the A833 southbound near the Checkbar Roundabout in Bonnybridge.
Police officers responded to reports of the one-car crash around 11.20pm on Saturday August 28.
The driver was rushed to Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert for treatment following the collision.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received report of a one-car crash in which the car struck a tree on the A833 southbound near Checkbar roundabout, Bonnybridge, around 11.20pm on Saturday, 28 August, 2021.
"The female driver was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital with serious injuries.”
It comes after a driver hit a tree in nearby Grangemouth earlier this month and was also taken to hospital.
However, they managed to escape the scene on Union Road without any serious injuries but a badly damaged black car was left behind.
