An Irishwoman who was seriously injured after an alleged assault last weekend has tragically died.
Nadine Lott, 30, was rushed to hospital after the serious incident in Co Wicklow on Saturday morning.
A garda spokeswoman confirmed to the Irish Mirror that the mum-of-one passed away on Tuesday evening.
A suspect appeared at Bray District Court on Monday charged in connection with the garda investigation which happened at a house in Arklow.
Nadine was being treated at Dublin's St Vincent's Hospital since the tragic incident. A post-mortem, which is expected to take place on Wednesday, will determine the course of the garda investigation.
Tributes have poured in for Nadine since the news of her death broke.
John Brady TD posted: "No words can express how devastated the people Arklow and Wicklow are this evening at the sad passing of Nadine.
"A young, beautiful mum taken well before her time, and in the most cruelest of ways.
"Our thoughts are with Nadine’s family, friends and especially her little daughter at this heartbreaking time."
One person said: "RIP Nadine. The whole of Arklow is praying for your loved ones tonight."
A second said: "RIP Nadine, such a waste of a young beautiful woman. Thinking of you, your little girl and your family."
