Woman selling Leeds United shirt lures man into alleyway then robs him

A man in his 50s was "knocked to the ground" and robbed after being approached by a woman selling a Leeds United top on Halloween.

The victim, who had been drinking at Three Legs pub, was attacked on Sunday (yesterday), in Rockley Hall Yard off The Headrow.

He was approached by a woman offering a Leeds United top for sale and went with her to a nearby alleyway.

West Yorkshire Police said a man then appeared and punched him knocking him to the floor.

The victim’s wallet, which had money in, was taken before the suspects ran off down The Headrow towards Vicar Lane.

The force’s spokesperson described the woman as white, about 5ft 9ins tall, medium build with darkish hair and a Leeds accent. The man was described as white, tall, slim, with short dark hair.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information that could assist in identifying the suspects is asked to contact PC 3069 Nicholson at Leeds District Crime Team via 101 quoting crime reference 13210560247 or online.

Information can be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
