The woman told StokeonTrentLive : "I had Morrisons home delivery shop on Sunday. However, when I unpacked my shopping I found a used tissue in one of my carrier bags.
"In the current pandemic we are in I was appalled to find the tissue in with my food.
"I double bagged it, washed my shopping down and disposed of the tissue in my bin.
"I contacted Morrisons the following morning by email, instant messenger and attempted by phone to no avail.

"It took them three days to reply to me. I am appalled by what they are saying.
"If shopping is packed by machinery how has the tissue ended up in my shopping.
"I’m a vulnerable person and am isolating myself to keep myself and family safe.
"Morrisons don’t seem too bothered that they could have potentially bought the virus into my house. Talk about feed the nation, how about let’s spread the virus to our nation?"
Responding to the customer's complaint, Morrisons said: "I am really sorry this has happened - all of out bags are packed via machinery at the warehouse so please do not worry.
"I have passed this onto our team and I have also sent you a £5 voucher. Apologies for any inconveniece."
