Woman seen kicking and stamping on dog in park as shocked families watched

A dog walker has been caught on camera stamping on a pooch after yanking it around by the lead in a public park.

The shocking footage shows the woman standing on the dog as she struggles to control it.

Sophie Ball was in the play area at Rockingham Recreation Ground in Uxbridge with her dad and two-year-old son Donovan when she spotted the woman, who had two dogs.

She told Mirror Online: "She was screaming at the dogs, that's when I first saw her. She was on the field and we were in the play area.

"She started kicking the hell out of it. It wasn't as if it was attacking a child, it had done nothing wrong."

Sophie then started filming and was shocked to see the woman yanking the dogs by the neck on their leads and then stamping on one of them.

The mum-of-one and her family had stopped at the park for a run around after having a meal at Pizza Hut following a trip to visit family for Mother's Day.

She said the incident marred the day.

Sophie said she called the police at the time before uploading the footage to social media. She has since reported the incident to the RSPCA.

In her post she encouraged anyone who knew the woman to come forward.

The breed of the dogs is unknown.

A Met Police spokesman confirmed officers attended the park and made a search of the area but did not find the woman or dogs.

An RSPCA spokesman said: “We are concerned by the content of this video and urge anyone who recognises the person in the video or who saw what happened to the dogs to contact us, in confidence, via the RSPCA inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018, quoting incident 697/01/04/2019.”
