Terrifying moment woman scrambles out of rhino enclosure after jumping in to get phone

A woman scrambled out of a rhino enclosure metres away from the beast after jumping in to retrieve her mobile phone.

The incident took place in the La Pastora Ecological Park, Nuevo Leon, northern Mexico.

Local media reports the woman, who has not been named but is around 40-years-old, dropped her phone and it fell into the rhino enclosure.

She is not believed to have informed any of the zoo workers and ignored signs warning visitors not to enter the enclosures.

In footage filmed by an onlooker, the woman can be seen trying to climb the steep walls of the small moat surrounding the enclosure as a huge rhino stands just a few feet away.
