Woman says we've all been using period pads completely wrong

A woman has shared the 'correct' way to use a period pad, and it's not how you think.

Taking to TikTok, content creator Alison Koroly shared a great hack that will prevent any period blood from leaking onto your clothes during your time of the month. It turns out, it's all to do with the placement of not one, but two pads.

Sharing a video to her 102,000 followers, she demonstrated how to place two pads on a pair of underwear to completely stop any leaks. She said she wishes she had "years ago", reports the Mirror.

In the video, she said: "You're telling me I've been doing it wrong this whole time?" and in the caption said: "I needed this info years ago!"

In the video Alison showed herself placing a pad like you normally would along the middle of your pants. However, she then grabs a second pad and adds it horizontally across the back.

The middle of the pad connects to the first one, forming a T shape. The life hack has now been seen by more than 8.5million people, with some people loving it, while others saying it's a waste of money.

People in the comments were shocked by the revelation. One person said: "Nooo, omg! I need to try this." and another added: "Some have heavy flow. I think this will help."

A third said: "I have to do this front and back, even with the biggest, longest pads. Hate periods." and one person said: "Why can't they just make it that shape?"

However, some people noted that using two pads at a time would be very expensive, and that night time pads could do the same job. One person said: "Just use Always Night ones. They're the best, or longer ones, that's just a waste." Another added: "Nah waste of a pad love! Thats [sic] why you get them with wings." A third said: "Try period pants, life changer!!"
