Woman says we've all been using bin bags incorrectly

A woman has amassed millions of views on TikTok after claiming we've all used bin bags the wrong way for, probably, a long time.

Armen Adamjan, who goes by the username @ch0zi, has thousands of followers whom she regularly updates with informative and hilarious videos. One clip shows Armen putting a bin bag into her waste receptacle.

Captioning the video, she said: "Bro. Who knew?? Garbage bags have an inside out mode?? Lmaoo. My life is a changed" [sic]

She explains that bin bags are actually "backwards", which she claims means if you open the bag up, shake it out, and put it in the bin, you are doing it the "wrong way". Instead, she says, you should put the bag on the bin "like a little hat".

Rather than pushing the bag down you should put it around the top. You then simply push it down and into the bin. When you look at the bin, if you can see the seam on the inside rather than the outside, you've done it correctly.

The video has now racked up some 33,000 comments. Many TikTok users have been left astounded.

One said: "So you're telling me my whole life I've been putting it in first and than struggling to wrap it around the sides?", while another said: "I’ve learned more on TikTok than I did in high school".

A third said: "When I tell you my jaw DROPPED", and a fourth added: "Tik Tok tells me everyday my life’s been a lie".
