Woman 'sacked' after taunting BLM protester that 'white lives are better'

A woman has reportedly been fired from her job after she was filmed telling a Black Lives Matter protester that "white lives are better".

The woman, identified locally as Sonya Holt, has been recorded repeatedly chanting "white lives matter" at a rally in Elizabethtown, Tennessee, US.

Video footage has emerged of the shocking incident which local reports say led to Sonya being sacked from her job.

The footage, shared on Twitter, shows Sonya surrounded by a large crowd of people and dressed in an orange top emblazoned with the words “Tennessee volunteers” and a pair of black sunglasses.

As she leans against a railing, Sonya yells at the female recording the video "white lives matter you black, twisted, crazy person".

Another woman then comes up behind her and holds her from behind, appearing to try and gently pull her away from the scene, while an older man says “there you go.”

But the woman filming says: "Let her talk, let her talk, let her say whatever she wants to say.

Sonya then responds with: "What are you going to do? What are you going to do? You can run and cry."

At this point, the older man, dressed in a blue top and an army cap, tells the woman filming the video: "Don’t tell her s**t."

Sonya is filmed mocking the woman filming the video, telling her: "White lives matter, you’re just a poor little black girl who has got a messed up mind."

She then begins chanting over and over: "White lives matter, white lives matter."

A short while later, Sonya tells the woman filming: "White lives matter sister, white lives matter, white lives are better."

According to local reports, Sonya is no longer an employee at Keith Family Vision Clinic in Johnson City following her racist remarks in the video, which quickly went viral.
