A woman has issued a plea after finding a "cheesed off" animal on the beach at Ainsdale.
Helen Wain, who works as a seasonal ranger at the beach, made the discovery on Friday
In a social media post, she said: "There's a seal resting at the north end of Ainsdale beach, about a quarter of a mile towards the sea.

"They are beautiful but wild nonetheless.
"He is absolutely shattered and a bit beat up, but very alert and cheesed off.
"Could any dog walkers who see this post please stick to going left on Ainsdale beach?
"The tide is coming in enough tonight so hopefully he will be rested enough to go back out on it. Take care and thank you."
British Divers' Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) advises anyone who sees a seal to watch it "from a distance", and to not approach the animal.
Finding a seal, its website says, does not mean there is necessarily a problem.
People are also advised not to chase the creature back into the sea, as this may stop it from "resting" - which it needs to do.
