Woman's shock after ending up with Adidas logo sunburned onto her leg

With the summer well underway, shocking tan lines are a frequent occurance.

Whether or not you're wearing a short-sleeved top or a bikini, you can end up looking as red as a lobster with an awful tan line.

But for Danielle Viagus-Foster, she ended up having the Adidas logo branded on her leg.

The 21-year-old sat out in the sun for almost an hour while wearing a pair of leggings.

She was left stunned when she took off the trousers to discover that the logo of the German brand had been burned onto her skin.

Danielle  told  Mirror Online   : "It was when I went to put on my bikini that I saw my leg.

"I thought 'Oh my god'. I was in fits of laughter."

Rather than complain about her fate, Danielle embraced her new look and contacted Adidas directly to see if they would hire her as a model.

Her request was denied, however, with the sportswear brand saying it only took sponsorship bids from Australia and Germany.

The company did compliment her on her "nice tan".

According to Bupa, leggings are considered an effective way to stave off sunburn.

A spokesman for the private health care firm said: "Long pants or leggings cover more skin than shorts, and a broad brim hat provides more protection than a baseball cap."

It seems like Bupa didn't see this coming either with the recent ferocity of Britain's sun, with temperatures falling just short of the country's all-time record high last week.

Adidas has been contacted for comment.
