Woman's "pride and joy" car covered in paint and tyres slashed

Vandals covered a woman's pride and joy white car in red paint and slashed three tyres.

The incident happened on her drive in Cambridge, near Dursley, overnight on Saturday (August 1).

But the woman, who does not want to be named, fears the thugs got the wrong address, reports Gloucestershire Live.

“It’s just horrible," she said. "It’s an absolute pain.

“The car is my pride and joy. I’ve had it for about a year.

“I think they got the wrong drive. It feels very personal but there’s nothing at all like that going on.

“We really are just law-abiding good people.”

She's been left 'seriously inconvenienced' while the Vauxhall Mokka is being fixed.

An abandoned bucket of paint was found in a nearby field.

Police are now investigating.

Although the woman does not have CCTV covering her drive, she hopes a neighbour's cameras might have caught the vandals.

Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 169 of August 2.
