When it comes down to it, the process of picking a name for your baby is a daunting one as there's so many to choose from.
While some people name their baby after a loved one, their favourite artist, author or fictional character, one woman has asked whether it'd be weird to name her newborn after a beloved pet who died.
The anonymous mum-to-be explained that her dog sadly passed away of cancer two years ago, and she misses him dearly.
Talking to the Baby Centre forum, she said: "So the only boy name that we can all agree on is Charlie.
"I love the name, that's why I named our beagle Charlie 12 years ago. He developed cancer and we finally had to have him put to rest about 2 years ago."
But she admits she's worried that people will think it's odd.
"Is it wrong to name our baby, if it's a boy, Charlie?" Will the baby hate us for naming him after a dog?" she asked.

Fellow parents were quick to share their thoughts on the name, with many reassuring her there was nothing wrong with it.
One said: "Just don't tell him he's named after a dog if you're worried! I don't think there is anything wrong with it."
Another commented: "Your choice entirely, lol. I don't think your kid will hate you. Better than naming them after your favourite soap opera star or something, lol."
"Little odd to me if you want honesty. Would it be confusing for your son to have a brother with the same name as his deceased dog? The psychologist in me worries," said a third.
Someone else said: "If you're worried about it but you really like the name, does your child, or anyone else for that matter really have to know!!??"
"Hmmm .... of course, there is nothing technically wrong with it. But, personally, I would never do that. It would feel really weird to ME," wrote one person.
But the worried mum admitted everyone knew who Charlie was.
"I'm sure somewhere down the line someone would mention that our dog was named Charlie. If nothing else we have lots of pics of him, and some with our son Joey. Even Joey knows who Charlie is," she shared.
A few people admitted they'd been named after unconventional things, but it didn't bother them at all.
"I was named after a cat that my mom had as a teenager and I'm perfectly fine with it I say go for it :)" said someone else.
"We had the same problem," revealed another person. "We had 10 yr old Lab named Dusty that passed away last summer. We both like the name Dustin but really can't bring ourselves to have our firstborn share the name of our first dog.
"I would never want him to know or think he was named after the dog, and after having the dog for 10 years, there is no way it could or would be a secret for long."
