Woman's phone call to Jeremy Vine show goes viral after she says Scots like Boris Johnson and Sturgeon is hated

A woman's phone call to the Jeremy Vine has gone viral after she claimed Scots like Boris Johnson and Nicola Sturgeon is one of the most hated people in the country.

An angry sounding Karen, from Glasgow, was heard venting her anger to host Anne Diamond who was standing in for Jeremy Vine.

During a segment discussing 'Will Boris break the union' Anne introduced Karen's call saying 'you think there are actually people in Scotland who like him, and why, - are you one of them?'

Speaking Live on the Channel 5 show, Karen said: "Let me tell you, Boris will not break up the union."

The caption under her name read: "A lot of Scots like Boris."

She continued: "I am proud to be British. And let me tell you, Nicola Sturgeon is one of the most hated people in Scotland."

The Prime Minister met with the First Minister in Edinburgh on Monday (PA)

Karen added: "We speak for the people of Scotland', but no she doesnt."

Before Anne said goodbye, Karen went on to claim that reports of protesters booing newly elected Prime Minister Boris Johnson when he arrived at Bute House to meet with Sturgeon on Monday were false.

She said: "And Scotland did not boo Boris yesterday, we cheered him.

"Maybe he'll be able to get rid of her and her cronies."

A clip of the phone call has gone viral and been liked more than 2000 times on Twitter.

And her words sparked quite a reaction, with many people criticising her stance.

Twitter user Louise Heathcote said: "And who is Karen to talk for the people of Scotland, the people I talk to depose Boris, I guess it depends on what circles you mix in, but Karen certainly doesn't speak for the majority."

Jan Munro said:  "Nicola Sturgeon is the most admired and respected politician in Europe never mind Scotland."

But some people were more supportive.

Anne McIntyre said: "Karen from Glasgow. The true voice of the Scottish majority."

Twitter user Frances said: "Well said Karen & all true and for the record I'm not a Boris fan either we just want a clean safe place to live."

Yesterday, we reported how Sturgeon showed Johnson who's boss as .

BoJo attempted to usher Sturgeon into the building as they greeted politicians.

But Sturgeon was having none of it and appeared to tell the PM to move along.

The Jeremy Vine show continues on week days on Channel Five at 9.15am.
