Woman's mind blown after discovering we've all been peeling vegetables wrong

Peeling vegetables is a task that nobody particularly enjoys doing - but it just has to be done.

If we want to get lots of goodness and veggies into our meals, then it's a necessary 'evil'.

But did you know you've probably been doing it wrong this whole time? And there's a much easier way to do it!

TikTok user Claire Banayad said her mind was blown after she discovered a new way to get rid of the skin on her veg.

On her TikTok account, @clairebanayad, she said: "Guys, I was today years old when I found out you can actually peel both ways.

"But look at this, oh my god, why didn’t anybody tell me about this?", she says, as she demonstrates the fact that you don't have to hold the vegetable and peel one way - like many of us do.

The peeler moves smoothly up and down the vegetable as she holds it and it's really satisfying to watch.

People were shocked at the revelation and were keen to try it out for themselves, with some pointing out that they are older than the content creator but had no idea.

One TikToker wrote: "I've always wondered about what the other part of the blade on the peeler was there for. I had no idea"

"*runs to kitchen and starts peeling veggies and fruits after seeing this vid*", wrote another.

"Oh really? Thanks I will try it later!", another said.

One user commented with lots of shocked faces, followed by: "I just finished peeling potatoes. I'm 36 and had no clue."

"Who found it satisfying when she peeled it?", someone asked.

"Wow I didn’t know that! Saves so much time!", another wrote.

Of course, whether you can use this hack or not will depend on your peeler.
