Woman's McDonald's delivery comes with unexpected mood-boosting note from worker

A McDonald's driver is scribbling mood-boosting messages on delivery orders to brighten up people's day.

There have been a number of reports of heartwarming handwritten notes being attached to orders in Liverpool.

Hungry customers have been enjoying their fast food with a smile after collecting from their doorsteps.

Donna Booth ordered dinner from McDonalds on Merseyside and was beaming at what she found, report the Liverpool Echo.

The 44-year-old and her husband discovered a cute note folded on the top of the bag and posted it online.

It read: "May positive thoughts and not fear guide you to conquer everything you wish for your future. Stay safe and enjoy your food!"

The message was signed by the delivery driver, Luis Fernando, with a smiley face.

Donna said the note made her smile and shared what happened on Facebook in the hope that Luis might see it.

Others said they had also experience the cheery notes on their food bag and said the man made their day.

Donna told the Echo : "I thought it was such a nice gesture considering he's the one at risk doing what he's doing during Covid-19.

"It was nice to think he'd taken time to write the note in his own time, and it's a shame you can't provide positive feedback about it to his employer.

"I work for customer service and know how nice it is to know you have made someone's day.

"It made me smile, and that's always a good thing when you can put a smile on someone's face."

Donna's post attracted dozens of comments, including from one woman who said the same thing had happened to her.

She said: "I got the exact same one on mine, I thought it was lovely. He must pre-write them."

Another wrote: "I think it’s a lovely gesture, it’s nice to do kind things like this. It has a knock on effect with your own mental well-being."
