Many updo hairstyles can be hard to master and sometimes they can leave your hair looking flat and lifeless.
But one woman has shown how to easily create a ponytail full of volume with her clever scrunchie hack.
She says she uses a soft velvet scrunchie instead of an elastic hair tie to limit damage when pulling the hair tight to create the lifted look.

Sharing the video to TikTok, she explains how she secretly adds an extra layer to the ponytail, leaving users saying it has 'changed their life'.
Kirsty, who posts numerous hair tutorials to her account, starts by showing her icy blonde highlighted locks in a high ponytail, and turns to the side so viewers can see her profile.
"Ponytail looking flat?" she asks.
She then films herself redoing her ponytail but on the final time she goes to wrap the scrunchie around the hair, she only takes it around the bottom half of the ponytail - creating a second hidden ponytail underneath.
"Tie the last part of your scrunchie around just the bottom half of your pony!" she writes.
She then flips the top ponytail over the bottom, with the caption: "Extra lift and volume."
The video has racked up more than 200,000 comments, with user Shannon responding: "This has just changed my life omg".
User ndy said: "Omg it works...thankyou for the tips".
Danielle said: "Omg this is genius" while account PPP added: "You changed my life".
Last week, we told of how celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, who works with the tresses of Kim Kardashian, also creates a thicker-looking pony.
Demonstrating on a model, the British hairdresser said: "Try this hair hack for anyone that wants to make their hair look thicker and upgrade their pony game".
Filming in steps with a voiceover, Chris said: "It's time to upgrade your ponytail from this to this in a few simple steps.
"You're going to need two elastics.
"All you do is split the hair into two, and pull the top half up into a high ponytail, and secure with your elastic.
"You then split the underneath into two, and pull it on top of the previous ponytail.
"What this is going to do is basically make it look like you've got double the amount of hair that you've got, so this is great for anyone with fine hair, and it just makes your ponytail really full and glam."
