Woman's house robbed after burglars use sly trick to stop alarm going off in Cabinteely, South Dublin

Gardai are currently hunting some devious thieves who used a sneaky trick while robbing a house in South Dublin.

People in Cabinteely have been warned to be extra vigilant after the burglary which saw a number of things taken and damage caused to the house.

The incident happened in Cabinteely Crescent with the burglars cutting off the power supply so that the alarm wouldn't be triggered.

They caused some damage to the back of the house, before getting away undetected.

A garda spokesman confirmed they're investigating the incident which happened in broad daylight on Wednesday.

They said: "Gardaí are investigating a suspected burglary that occurred at a property in Cabinteely Crescent, Cabinteely at approximately 7.10pm on Wednesday 10th July 2019.

"A number of items were taken during the incident and there was damage to the rear of the property. No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing."
