Woman's easy hack for cleaning white shoes - and the transformation is amazing

If you've ever owned white trainers, then you'll know what a struggle it can be keeping them clean.

But thankfully one woman has come up with a very simple way of making grubby shoes look good as new in no time.

And all you need is one little thing, which you can pick up for just £1 in stores such as Boots.

The secret ingredient is denture cleaning tablets, which are clearly a very powerful cleaning tool, as one mum also recently showed how they can be added to a bucket of water to really make a Mum who thought her kitchen floor was dark grey disgusted to learn the truth .

As well as making floors shine, they also completely transformed one woman's trainers.

Writing for Mamamia.com, Ali Moore revealed she was inspired to try out the hack after coming across a post on the Australian Facebook group, Mums Who Clean.

On the group, a fellow mum had dissolved the tablets in water and used the solution to remove a nasty stain from her sofa.

Ali decided to apply the same method to her dirty shoes.

She dissolved three tablets in warm water, removed the laces from her shoes and then placed the trainers straight into the mixture.

While they were in the solution, she scrubbed at them for a little bit with an old toothbrush, before leaving them to soak overnight.

She said: "In the morning I put them in the washing machine with some stain removing washing powder and a towel (so they aren't annoyingly loud in the washing machine), and then put them out in the sun for the remainder of the day."

And by the time they had dried, they looked bright, white and so clean.

Ali specifically used Polident denture cleaner for her hack, but you can pick up a supermarket brand of cleaner for as little as £1.
