Woman's desperate plea after three distinctive dogs 'stolen from garden'

A woman has pleaded for the return of her three beloved dogs who she thinks were stolen from her back garden.

A huge appeal and search is underway to find Mo, Summer and Amber - three Shetland sheepdogs who are believed to have been taken from Sandra Pierce’s home in Almondsbury late on Friday night (August 9).

The distinctive breed is better known as ‘miniature Lassie’ and all three are microchipped.

Summer is five-and-a-half years old and the mother of 13-month-old Amber, while Sandra said she is most concerned about Mo - who is 12 and needs regular medication.

“They are very distinctive and I’m sure if people see them they will instantly recognise them,” said Sandra.

“We don’t care what the circumstances of how they come back to us, we just want them back. They can drop them off at a police station, leave them somewhere safe where they will be quickly found, no questions asked.

“If anyone has any information, they need to either tell the police or me on 07920205430.”

The police have a reference number for people to use - 5219183543 - but anyone calling can simply say it’s about the ‘missing Shelties’.

“We are just desperate to get them back. We’ve been out looking, we’ve put it on social media, we’ve alerted all the missing pet sites, but so far nothing,” she added.
