Woman's clever hack will stop you worrying whether you've switched off your appliances before leaving home

If you've ever had anxiety over whether you've switched off your appliances before leaving home, one woman's simple hack might change your morning routine forever.

Twitter user Ana Kinsella caught the attention of many when she revealed how she quashes her worry over whether she's left her hair straighteners plugged in before jetting out the door.

Ana, of London, wrote: "Now I take a photo of the unplugged appliance before I leave the house so I don't have to worry about it on the whole bus journey."

A picture attached to the tweet shows Ana's switched off and unplugged and hair straightener rolled up on her desk.

And if anxiety creeps in at any point in the day, the photo serves as evidence that the appliance has been safely unplugged.

Dozens of people responded to Ana's tweet, relieved to see they weren't the only people who struggled with this.

One person commented: "Utterly relieved to know I’m not the only one who takes a picture of the iron, hob, boiler, etc. so I don’t have to turn around on my commute from work to check."

A second wrote: "I'm glad I'm not the only one! When I go to bed, photo of oven off, candles out, door locked."

Others claimed it's the solution they have long been looking for.

"Omg, that is genius," one woman wrote.

Another added: "Stealing this and it's going to improve my mornings immeasurably."
