Woman’s CCTV spots 'suspicious character' - but she’s left roaring with laughter

The rise of CCTV has been a lifesaver - literally.

But it's fair to say that not all technology is created equally.

One woman was left in stitches after her home camera alerted her to a "suspicious character."

Given that many of us are spending all of our time at home, there's not much time for a dodgy character to break in.

In this case, the woman and her housemates were safe from danger.

The woman shared a video on TikTok capturing the alert - and what alerted her.

She joked: "My Nest cam caught a suspicious person lmao."

Those suspicious people? An adorable cushion featuring two embroidered dogs wearing glasses.

Terrifying. Absolutely nightmarish.

The app asked the woman to confirm if she "knew this person" after catching them on camera at 6.01pm.

People were left in stitches by the video - which has racked up more than 700,000 views.

One person joked: "He's INNOCENT."

Another asked: "And? Do you know this person or not?"

A third warned: "Hmmmm, he looks suspicious. Maybe he's using those glasses as a disguise."

A fourth replied: "Hahahaha this is way funnier that it should be."

Another said: "I have the same problem, my camera caught the paper towel roll trying to break into my house and asked if I

recognised its face."

Meanwhile, one teacher was lavished with praise after showing how he started his online class for his pupils recently.

Mason Pyper, a teacher in Raleigh, North Carolina, went viral after zooming into class onto a Slip and Slide in front of his laptop.
