Woman's car pinched and found torched ten miles away from her home

A woman’s car was stolen from outside her house and found burnt out ten miles away in a Renfrewshire village.

The 38-year-old woman was devastated when her Peugeot 208 was pinched.

She had parked her blue-coloured car up for the night at her home in Kirklea Gardens in Paisley’s Ferguslie Park on Saturday.

Inspector Tracy Harkins said: “She had parked it at 9.30pm on September 4 and discovered it had gone at 10.30am on September 5.

“It was later found burned out near Langbank.

“We are appealing for help from anyone who was near the burned vehicle or at the house.

“Our enquiries are ongoing.”
