A care assistant who had to abandon her car after it skidded on black ice and crashed into a tree returned to the scene to find it covered in graffiti. Sophie Nash, 27, had to leave her silver Vauxhall Corsa on a verge after she lost control of it going around a bend on a country lane in the early hours on Monday morning.
On Wednesday she found that a vandal had sprayed a huge tag down the driver's side. The words 'this is litterin' was also sprayed in big letters on the rear window.
On a social media post, Sophie wrote: "Not sure why some people can be so pathetic. The police are aware it’s parked there as it's not safe to drive it home.
"The scrap man is collecting it Thursday afternoon, if it’s devalued anymore I’ll be very pissed off. Imagine I come to your house and spray paint all over it. It’s not even a decent tag for god's sake. GROW UP.
"Edit: PS it scrapes off easily because of the frost so it was a waste of time really."
The mum of one had lost control of the car as she braked when going around a bend, hit a a grass verge and a tree stump before spinning and ending up sideways across both lanes. Miraculously Sophie was unharmed and alerted the police to the incident.
She then left the car in a layby until it could be towed and was picked up by her partner. Sophie is now unable to get to work or drop her four-year-old daughter off at school until she replaces her car, which was written off from the incident.
