Woman's brilliant 2p coin trick banishes limescale from taps in 'seconds'

Taps have a habit of looking a bit crusty if you haven't given them a proper clean in a while.

But getting rid of stubborn limescale can be such a faff.

Luckily, one woman has shared her top tip for taps - and all you need is a 2p coin.

On Facebook, the woman recommended using a 2p coin to do the work for you, according to the Daily Star .

Instead of splashing out on pricey products, the Facebook user scraped the grime away using the bronze piece.

Posting to the Mrs Hinch Army Cleaning Tips Facebook page , she wrote: “The 2p tip completely works – and not much hassle.

“To remove just literally scrape the tap with the 2p and it comes right off!"

She added: “As people have said, literally get a 2p and scrape your tap. It will chip off!

“Then I’ve wiped with a dry kitchen towel.”

The cleaning hack definitely worked its magic in this instance.

As you can see by the Facebook user’s before and after snaps, the taps were left gleaming.

The Mrs Hinch fan wasn’t the only one to rave about the household tip.

Others responded to the post – and said the 2p trick worked for them too.

One Facebook user said: “I have just tried this on my taps and omg.

“Why did I never think to do this?! Thank you.”

Another wrote: “It’s so easy. I’ve been trying to get mine cleaned for weeks then 10 minutes with a 2p coin and it all came off.”

And a third added: “This 2p trick saved my sanity.”
