Woman's 'bra' trick to get man to call after date backfires in mortifying mix-up

A woman was left red-faced after accidentally texting her date "I think I'm in love", in a message intended for her friend.

And even more awkwardly, she admitted a cheeky trick she had used to ensure he had to text her the next day.

Sharing the amusing story on TikTok, the man, Kris, @krismct, shared an exchange he had with a woman he'd been on the date with.

In the message, the woman said she's just "leaving his now" and that she "left my bra so that he has to text me again", before confessing the romantic reason.

The woman clearly meant to send the message to a friend, but she sent it to the date instead - but luckily he thought the whole thing extremely entertaining.

What do you think of the woman's text? Let us know in the comments...

The first message reads: "That's me just leaving his now. I've left my bra so that he has to text me again haha I think I'm love ?? How was your night? X"

And Kris replied: "Emmmm yeh my night was really good... I spent it with you! I take it that wasn't for me?"

The woman then replied: "Omg! Ignore, ignore, ignore. I'm so embarrassed!! X"

The video was lived nearly 2,000 times on TikTok and received a flurry of comments, with many people saying the text wasn't a mistake.

One said: "She did that on purpose. Immaturity at its best."

While another commented: "Plot twist... text was actually meant for you and she knew what she was doing all along."

And a third added: "That was sent on purpose."

"Legit something I’d do," wrote a fourth user.

Meanwhile, a woman tried an unconventional technique to find the perfect match on online dating - only using "ugly" photos and hoping that her date would be pleasantly surprised when they met in real life.

TikTok star Shanel, @shanelowhateva, said she wanted matches to be "pleasantly surprised" on their first date so chose pictures where she thinks she doesn't look her best.

And more importantly, she's also upped her chances of matching with someone who isn't shallow.

Initially, Shanel didn't get any matches but now she's been on a date with someone who said she "looked much better in person".
