A bride-to-be called off her wedding after discovering her engagement ring was originally bought for another woman.
The unlucky fiancée only found out her partner got the ring for his ex-girlfriend after she said yes.
She backed out of the engagement when the truth came out - although she is still with her boyfriend, two years after the revelation.
The woman shared a picture of her engagement band, along with her story, on a ring-shaming group on Facebook .
According to the Daily Star , she wrote: "My boyfriend tried to propose with this ring two years ago.
"I said yes at first but after finding out he bought it for his ex I said no to his proposal. Now two years later, I'm still with him.
"But I will never forget that he gave me this ring and probably won't accept a proposal anytime soon. And yes, I know I need a new man."
Her post sparked a flurry of sympathetic responses on the That's It, I'm Ring Shaming Facebook group.
One person wrote: "That's mad disrespectful You are a new woman and he should have got a ring that was specifically designed for you."
Others said the poster deserved a better man, while some described her partner's ring recycling move as 'tacky'.
It comes after another a woman was mocked for her 'tall' wedding ring on the That's It, I'm Ring Shaming Facebook group.
Members of the group said the ring would be a 'nightmare with jumpers'.
