A man's response to being asked to buy his girlfriend tampons has gone viral, and women across the nation are in stitches.
Posting on Twitter, a woman named Brogan shared the text exchange she'd had with her other half while he was out doing a spot of shopping for her.
Captioning the tweet, she wrote: "When u ask ur boyfriend to buy u tampons."
The photograph in the tweet showed her boyfriend, Lewis, holding up two tampon boxes - one yellow, one green.
Under the photo he wrote: "Do you want the lemon or the lime." What a joker.
Since the tweet was posted it has been shared over 131,000 times and liked almost 900,000 times.
Having seen the tweet, people are sharing their own hilarious tampon shopping stories, and the responses are pure joy.
"My bf bought me super tampons 'Thanks hon but these are the wrong size' Oh I thought that just meant like... really good tampons," quipped one social media user.
Another said: "I was laughing so much at this, also when I went to read the comments I was shocked how little men know about women. If men were the ones bleeding women would know which brand, size and what chocolate to buy with it and you probably would get it for way cheaper."
"Lmfaoo. I remember when I asked my boyfriend to buy me some pads and he bought me panty liners," said another bemused woman.
Now all we need to know is which box Lewis bought - the lemon or the lime. I don't think I'll sleep until I know.
