A woman's body has been recovered from water near Youghal Lighthouse in Co Cork.
Gardai are appealing for the public's help in identifying the remains after the discovery was made this afternoon.
The body is believed to be that of a woman in her mid 20s or early 30s of medium build and wearing casual clothing, Cork Beo reports.
The remains were discovered following a joint operation between the RNLI and the Coast Guard.
The woman's body was formally handed over to Gardai and has now been transported to CUH where a post mortem will take place.
A Garda spokesperson has said nothing suggests foul play at this moment reports the East Cork Journal.
They said the body does not match those of any missing persons from the area and are working to identify the woman.
