A WOMAN’S body has been recovered from the sea near a harbour in Fife.
Police said they recovered the body from the water off the East Shore area of Anstruther at around 6.25pm on Tuesday.
Officers added that the woman’s death is being treated as unexplained, but it is not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding it.
Formal identification is still to take place and enquiries are continuing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.25pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the body of a woman was recovered from the water off the East Shore area of Anstruther.
“The death is being treated as unexplained, but there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
“Formal identification is yet to take place and enquiries remain ongoing.”
