A body has been discovered in the water at Millport.
Emergency services raced to the scene on the island of Great Cumbrae after the alarm was raised at around 7.25am on Saturday, April 23.
A woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Pictures sent to the Record show officers in attendance at area near a beach on the island.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called around 7.25am on Saturday 23 April 2022 to a report of a body in the water at Millport.
"A woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
"There are no suspicious circumstances, and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal."
