Woman's body found in house as police issue appeal to trace her family

A woman was found dead in her house - prompting a search for family members to come forward.

Officers were called to an address in Waterloo where the body of Sandra Owen was found on Thursday, May 14.

The force said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

A search is now on for Ms Owen's family as police appeal for help in tracing the 69-year-old's next of kin.

Ms Owen lived alone but it is believed she had children, police said.

A spokeswoman for the police said: "We are appealing for help in tracing the next of kin of a 69 year-old woman who has passed away in Waterloo.

"Sandra Owen was found sadly deceased at her home address on Thursday 14th May.

"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. She lived alone but it is believed she had children.

"Anyone with information about Mrs Owen's family or next of kin is asked to contact Coroners Officer, Clair Sajewicz on 0151 777 3754 or via email at Sefton.Coroner.Office@merseyside.police.uk "
