A probe has been launched after a woman was found dead on a Glasgow street.
Emergency crews raced to Carleston Street, in the Spingburn area of the city, at around 9.20am after being called to reports of concern for a person.
But when they arrived she was found to be dead.
Police are now investigating the circumstances of what happened.
The street, near the Springburn shopping centre, has been taped off by cops as the probe continues.
Shocked locals have queried online about what is happening with the incident.
It is unclear at this time the cause of death or the age or name of the woman involved.
A police spokeswoman said : “Around 9.20am on Friday, 4 December, 2020 police were called to a reports of concern for a woman in Carleston Street in Glasgow.
"Emergency services attended but the woman was found to be deceased.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
