Woman's body found in Dublin city as Gardai launch investigation

Gardai have launched an investigation following the discovery of a woman's body in Dublin yesterday.

The tragic discovery was made in the James Street area after the alarm was raised on Wednesday.

Upon arriving at the scene Gardai found the body of a woman in her 30s.

Her remains have since been removed to the Dublin City mortuary.

According to Dublin Live a source said that foul play is not being suspected at this time.

A Garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are investing the death of a female, aged in her 30s, that occurred at a premises in the James Street area of Dublin 8 on 19/05."

"The remains have been removed to Dublin City Mortuary."

He added: "No further information is available and enquiries are ongoing."
