Woman's body found in Clydebank high rise as cops launch probe in 'unexplained' death

Police have launched a probe after the 'unexplained' and 'sudden' death of a woman in a Scots high rise.

Officers found the body of the 51-year-old at West Court, Littleholm Place, in Clydebank at around 1.30pm on Friday January 29

It is unclear how she died and her name has not been released.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said that detectives would be carrying out enquiries to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.

She said: "Officers were called to an address West Court, Littleholm Place in Clydebank around 1.30pm on Friday, 29 January, 2021, following the sudden death of a 51-year-old woman.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
