A woman's body has tragically been found at a pier in Port Glasgow.
Emergency services rushed to the Newark Castle Pier around 9.25am on Tuesday February 11 after receiving reports of the grim discovery.
Cops say there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Officers were called to Newark Castle Pier in Port Glasgow at around 9.25am on Tuesday February 11, following reports of the discovery of a woman's body.
"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
"A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
