Woman's anger as child ruins celebration lunch by repeatedly singing Let It Go from Frozen

A woman enjoying a celebratory lunch at a restaurant has told of her anger at a child singing at a nearby table. The youngster was singing Let It Go from the film Frozen over and over again.

She was also unhappy as the kid's parents didn't intervene. The woman complained about the experience in a Mumsnet post.

She said: "Near us was a group - a young couple with their two children. One was a babe in arms who cried - fair enough, babies cry and after a while of not being able to quiet him or her, dad went out and walked around outside. Much appreciated that he did that.

"However, the other child, a girl of about five or six, was allowed to sing at the top of her voice for over an hour." To make matters worse, the well-meaning child kept singing Frozen's Let It Go repeatedly for more than an hour, according to the diner.

"I get it is hard to manage kids in public sometimes but you could see people looking from all over the restaurant," she said. "If we had been in the local pub I would not have thought twice.

"But in a place which is way out of most people's usual daily reach, am I unreasonable to think those parents should have said something to this child and told her to stop?"

The Mirror reports commenters were quick to agree with the writer's point of view. "I hate noisy kids. I can't cope with my own shouting or singing," read one reply.

Someone else said: "That sounds very annoying." Another person agreed, writing: "Absolutely ridiculous (them not you). So inconsiderate."

Further explaining her annoyance in a comment, the diner added: "I am usually quite laid back about it but in a place where lunch is going to cost £60 to £70 minimum before drinks I really think they should have shut her up. Or left. Or not gone. Which would be sad for them, but why should everyone else suffer through it?"
